Gaetano Sciolari

Gaetano Sciolari is an essential name to familiarize yourself if you are interested in Mid Century designs. Sciolari's lightings were manufactured by top firms as  Lightolier (based in New York) and Stilnovo (based in Milan) during the 1950', but in the late 1960's Sciolari began to manufacture his own lighting creations.

Sciolari's arguably produced his best work in the 1970's  and the work shares it's disco chic aesthetic with Verner Panton, Paul Evans and Francois Monet.

The "Cubic" series is one of Sciolari's greatest hits and examples were realized in variety of sizes, configurations and finishes.

During the years, Gaetano Sciolari was mentioned in many albums, with talented and famous lighting design creators, including Taschen.
